Gear Guide: Eight Essentials for Firefighter Fitness

Firefighting presents numerous challenges that can hinder achieving fitness and performance goals. The stress of the job, sleep deprivation from shift work, and responsibilities at home often stack the deck against us. 

Fortunately, we have access to tools and technologies that help us stay on track, optimize our performance, and maintain an excellent quality of life both on and off the job.

Ryan Provencher is an Operations Battalion Chief with over 30 of Fire Service experience.
